[Resolved] Library catalog unavailable beginning 10 am on Weds, July 3

[Access to the catalog was restored by 10 am Thursday, July 4. Thanks for your patience!]

Horizon will be performing maintenance on the Marygrove Library catalog on Wednesday, July 3, beginning at 10 a.m. As a result, the catalog will be unavailable for a short period of time. In the meantime, we suggest that you use WorldCat. WorldCat is a database that searches libraries worldwide all at once; it will show you what’s available in the Marygrove Library but can’t provide call numbers.

Here’s how to use WorldCat:

  1. Visit WorldCat by clicking here: http://library.marygrove.edu:2048/login?url=http://firstsearch.oclc.org/framedlinks=false;dbname=WorldCat;FSIP;onesession=no. [If you are off-campus, you'll need to type your Marygrove username and password. Note that WorldCat is also accessible from the Books & Media menu at the Marygrove Library website.]
  2. Type your search terms.
  3. Before you click the search button, look further down the page for the words “Library Code.” Type ERR in the box next to these words. This is a code specific to the Marygrove Library which will prevent other libraries’ materials from appearing in your search results.
  4. Click the search button. Your results will appear.

If you need help with this, don’t hesitate to give us a call! 313.927.1346
