New journal in the library: Contemporary Women’s Writing

Contemporary Women's WritingAt the request of one of our Marygrove faculty members, the library has added a new electronic journal to its collection: Contemporary Women’s Writing. According to the publisher’s website, this journal…

…critically assesses writing by women authors who have published approximately from 1970 to the present, especially in essays that reach beyond a reading of a single text in order to challenge existing thinking or extend debates about an author, genre, topic, or theoretical perspective and relate literary analysis to wider cultural and intellectual contexts. The journal aims to reflect retrospectively on developments throughout the period, to survey the variety of contemporary work, and to anticipate the new and provocative in women’s writing.

You can access this journal in at least two ways: (1) relevant articles published in this journal will appear in your search results in the MLA International Bibliography database. (2) Alternatively, you can use our “Find a Journal” webpage to search for the title Contemporary Women’s Writing and begin browsing issues of this journal.

Happy researching!
