MeLCat downtime Tuesday, March 6th [Completed]

The MeLCat server will be down on Tuesday, March 6, for a software upgrade. The upgrade will begin at 11 a.m. and will last most of the day.

Implications:

  • We will not be able to search MeLCat or place new requests via MeLCat
  • If we try to renew MeLCat materials, we may get a “server unavailable” message
  • The MyMeLCat link will not be operational, but you may access this alternate site (https://dcb3.mel.org/patroninfo) to view your account

What is MeLCat? A fabulous state-wide book-sharing service. Read more at this library blog post: http://librarynews.marygrove.edu/2012/02/17/melcat-magic-sure-if-you-think-free-books-delivered-just-for-you-is-magic/

“The MeLCat central server (elibrary.mel.org) upgrade is complete and access has been restored. Testing of searching, requesting and processing functionality has been completed.”
